Welcome

I started this blog after noticing how heavy the expectations placed on women in Japan can be — especially after becoming mothers.

On social media, many women talk about the same struggles: balancing work and childcare, feeling frustrated with partners whose lives seem unchanged after having children, and quietly carrying the responsibility of managing family relationships.

These experiences are often treated as personal problems.

But living in Japan, I began to wonder if they are actually part of a larger social pattern.

Here, I write about everyday life in Japan from a woman’s perspective.

This blog is not about giving advice or offering solutions.

It’s about observing daily moments and putting words to what often goes unspoken.

This space is for anyone curious about Japanese culture beyond stereotypes, and for parents everywhere who recognize similar dynamics in their own lives.

If reading this helps you see these experiences more clearly — or reflect on your own culture — then this blog has done its job.
